Temporary Stay |2017

In an old family house in Beirut an audio tape is found in a heap of abandoned objects. The tape is from 1976. A family sitting somewhere in Sweden is recording the path of its departure and describing a country that will substitute its “lost paradise”. Forty years later these recorded voices become a “trace” between other debris that no longer belongs to anyone. Temporary Stay tries to tell the story of the migration in the Middle East, to draw the lines of the remains of this exodus and to question the traces that the survivors leave behind and transforms the performance makers into watched objects. The performance interrogates the courses of migration and their remaining traces.
